We have worked extensively on many heritage properties and scheduled monuments throughout the Southeast. This has included World Heritage Sites, grade listed buildings (1, 2 & 2*), tunnels, windmills, stately homes, lighthouses, fountains, castles, temples and many more.
From refurbishing Dover Sea Front to restoring ancient monuments, Redec has worked on a variety of historic environment properties throughout the South East, working to exacting specifications and alongside some of the country’s top heritage professionals.
Working closely with clients we identified long ago the importance of undertaking many of our heritage works in-house, carrying and keeping these rare specialist trades going is vitally important. Apprentices at Redec are now required to sit the NVQ level 3 course in order for them to directly train in these specialist fields. Some of our in-house specialist trades include:
- Stone/brick masonry and lime working
- Structural timber works
- Kent peg tiling and Welsh slating works
- Wattle and daub
- Lathe and plaster
- Concrete repairs
- Guilding and other specialist finishes
Our clients within this sector vary (Government agencies, local authorities, tourist attractions, private individuals) but their objectives remain the same of quality works undertaken by highly experienced/qualified professionals, delivered to their programme and priced competitively.
